Much of the writing is built from flowing right-hand sixteenth-note patterns, quiet bass support, long slurs, and small expressive changes such as poco ritardando, pianissimo, diminuendo, and smorzando.Measures 1–4 introduce the main delicate texture. The right hand moves in smooth, harp-like broken figures across the upper register, while the left hand adds sparse bass notes and simple supporting tones. The opening is very soft and elegant, with the long slurs helping the music sound continuous rather than like a finger exercise.Measures 5–12 continue the same figuration and expand the harmony. The right hand keeps the flowing sixteenth-note motion, while the left hand occasionally answers with small melodic gestures and trills.
