Clementi creates a layered, resonant texture in which short rhythmic gestures continually overlap longer melodic lines.\r\nThree repeated upper notes launch the piece, and the figure soon moves inward beneath held tones. Broad bass phrases support the shifting upper harmonies, while accents and chromatic changes heighten the momentum. The middle brings more of the repeated-note activity into the lower register and builds toward fuller exchanges between both parts. Later, dense repeated chords and high-register writing enlarge the sound.
