Beneath this bright surface, Clementi gives the bass a slower, firmly paced harmonic role.\r\nThe rapid upper pattern persists throughout, rising and falling through sequences as the bass changes between held chords, repeated pulses, and occasional melodic steps. Shifts into higher octaves sharpen the color, while chromatic turns and swelling dynamics create waves of tension and release.
