Completeness: unknown.Measures 1–42 unfold as a slow funeral march, built from weighty chordal steps, short lamenting figures, and repeated exchanges between high and low registers. At measure 43, the texture changes to quiet, repeated notes and close staccato chords in E-flat minor, with a long line emerging beneath the steady motion. This middle section grows in density until a bell-like climax at measures 89–91. The opening march then returns in compressed form, gradually losing weight and volume before the final C-minor chords fade to ppp at measure 109.
