The figure repeatedly changes direction while its accompaniment remains regular. Measures 12–27: The moving line passes between registers and the two staves. Held chords briefly interrupt the runs, and the lower part becomes more active. Measures 28–38: Chromatic figures continue over changing bass patterns. A new flat-key passage brings accents and thicker chords before the opening texture returns. Measures 39–61: In a sharp-key passage, continuous upper figures rise and fall through several registers while the lower part alternates between chords and running notes. Dynamic swells lead into a quieter closing section. Measures 62–65 set held upper chords against a low chromatic line; measures 66–67 rise briefly and end with a short, detached chord.
