Firm chordal statements alternate with streams of quick notes decorated by frequent trills. The opening gives the upper part sustained chords while the lower line curls downward and rises again. The ornamental figures then migrate to the upper register, leaving chordal answers below. Throughout the middle, the parts repeatedly exchange these roles as sequences move through contrasting harmonies and brief dolce passages soften the sound. The final section grows more expansive, with wider descending runs and emphatic chords leading to a compact ending. An interesting detail is how deeply the trills are woven into the piece: they occur within the moving figures in both registers, becoming a recurring musical idea rather than an occasional decoration.
