Clementi places a gently shaped melody above a rippling accompaniment, creating a flowing texture with a clear singing line. The opening melody combines sustained notes with small turns and falling answers, while repeated sixteenth-note figures maintain motion underneath. As the phrases grow, chromatic notes and brief upward flourishes intensify the harmony without disturbing the underlying pulse. The opening manner returns amid increasingly ornamented lines. In the closing passage, the moving figure shifts into the upper texture before a final downward-and-upward sweep settles on a held ending. An interesting detail lies within the accompaniment: longer notes sound above its repeated moving figure, so the lower staff carries an additional melodic strand as well as the rhythmic motion.
