Measures 1–8 present the main dotted figure over a bass note followed by repeated accompanying intervals. The phrase grows in intensity and reaches a compact chordal close. Measures 9–16 loosen the texture with more widely separated chords, short upper gestures, and chromatic neighboring notes. Accents interrupt the lighter spacing and keep the passage rhythmically pointed. Measures 17–24 restore the opening’s dotted theme and denser accompaniment. A renewed increase in intensity leads to the sharply defined ending.
