First published: unknown. Completeness: unknown.Sonatina in C is a clear, compact Allegro built from a quarter-note melody and broadly spaced lower notes. Its balanced phrases contrast a direct opening theme with a more sequential middle passage. Measures 1–8 introduce the main melody through rising and falling steps. Longer bass notes provide a stable framework, and the second phrase varies the first before its cadence. Measures 9–16 start more quietly and develop repeated melodic shapes over sustained bass tones. A stronger high point gives way to descending motion and a transition back toward the opening. Measures 17–24 restore the main theme. Small changes in its continuation and dynamic bring the returning material to a definite C-major conclusion. Interesting fact: The twenty-four measures divide into three eight-measure spans, while the repeat signs group them into two larger sections.
