An expressive continuation sets the melody above sweeping broken chords, then grows into a fuller chordal statement. The central grazioso section brings dotted rhythms, light ornaments, and crisp repeated chords, building toward a stream of detached high notes. When the opening tune returns, it is carried by the lower voice beneath that sparkling motion. The expressive material also returns with wider arpeggios before the last statements of the theme. Gradually the rapid notes sink into the low register and fade over sustained harmony.
