First published: unknown. Completeness: unknown.Op. 125, No. 6 is a lilting C-major Allegretto in 6/8. Its upper melody forms small, continuous arches above broader dotted-note accompaniment. Measures 1–8 repeat the opening curve, then add chromatic color and a stronger cadence. The lower line moves from the bright treble register into the bass as the phrase closes. Measures 9–12 begin with a new descending figure and a more independent bass line. Measures 13–16 recall the opening shape at a stronger dynamic and end with an upward melodic leap over sustained harmony. Interesting fact: The piece begins with both staves in treble clef, but the lower staff changes to bass clef before the first section ends.
