First published: unknown. Completeness: unknown.Volume 1, No. 18 is a compact D-major dance with an upbeat, repeated notes, and quick ornamental gestures. Its two repeated sections contrast a plain opening with a more decorated continuation. Measures 1–4 present repeated upper notes and small descending shapes. The lower line answers with repeated notes of its own, and a brief rest divides the phrase. Measures 5–8 extend the opening pattern through a rising answer and a small grace-note decoration before the first section closes. The second section begins with more rapid upper turns and grace notes over a repeating lower figure. Its latter half returns to the opening’s repeated-note and stepwise patterns, then ends with a short cadence and a held pause. Interesting fact: The historical heading is ‘Das Ballett,’ even though RTV lists this particular entry by its volume and number.
