A quick alternating figure gives the music its continuous sparkle, while the lower line adds trills and sharply outlined replies. The upper pattern remains active through changing harmonies and registers, supported by inner notes that move at a slower pace. Below it, trilled tones alternate with broad leaps, brief rests, and occasional connected phrases. Dynamic contrasts and chromatic shifts shape the middle without breaking the prevailing motion. The closing passage simplifies the bass into a steady harmonic progression, and the repeated upper figure gradually diminishes before resolving into a held chord. The lower part has an unusually ornamental role: its recurring trills answer the rapid upper texture, so decoration is shared between the bass and treble rather than confined to the highest line.
