Clementi combines the swinging pulse with wide changes of register and bold harmonic turns. The opening sets short octave gestures above rising and falling broken chords. The melody then becomes more connected, while accented chords punctuate the flowing lower line. A central passage concentrates repeated chords and running figures into a brighter, more forceful exchange. The opening idea returns higher in the texture, followed by renewed sequences and broad downward sweeps. In the final stretch, the upper figures spread into wider leaps before both parts arrive at a firm sustained close. One distinctive feature is the independence of the two rhythmic layers: the upper part often pauses or holds a chord while the lower line continues its unbroken sixteenth-note motion.
