Completeness: unknown. The quarter-note triplet pickup leads into an emphatic F-major introduction in measures 1–4, with octave melody, dotted rhythms, chromatic chord changes and pauses. Measures 5–12 introduce a quieter song melody over flowing broken chords, with dotted notes and small triplet turns. Measures 13–19 thicken the accompaniment into repeated chords and carry the melody higher through a crescendo and fermatas. Measures 20–23 answer softly over slower chromatic harmonies. The opening song phrase returns in measures 24–31 with a varied cadence. Measures 32–38 decorate the melody with short sixteenth-note figures, accented intervals and a descending run. The quieter phrase returns in measures 39–42, followed by the song melody in measures 43–46. Measures 47–49 set an octave melody above a low, rapidly alternating chord-and-bass tremolo. Measures 50–52 recall the introduction, and measures 53–54 close softly with a sustained upper chord and a final low bass note.
