Completeness: unknown.The Moderato opening, mm. 1–8, alternates rising and falling right-hand scales with longer held notes, supported by a steady left-hand bass-and-interval pulse. Crescendos accompany the ascents and diminuendos relax the replies. Measures 9–16 return to the rising figures, extend them into a higher passage and settle into a held close. In mm. 17–24, the scale line shifts to the left hand beneath detached upper intervals, then returns to the upper part with chromatic touches before a quieter cadence. Measures 25–40 bring back the opening shapes, broadening the final rising and descending phrases before the sustained closing note.
