Measures 1–8 place the moving figure above a broad lower line. Measures 9–16 exchange the roles, carrying the same flowing motion into the bass beneath sustained melody notes and paired intervals. Measures 17–32 reshape these exchanges in higher registers and different harmonies. The final bass flourish leads into the Da Capo return, which brings back the opening and closes at Fine.
