“Bridal Chorus - PreTime Classics - pg. 8-9” is a very easy piano arrangement of Wagner’s famous “Bridal Chorus” from the opera Lohengrin. The student part is written in a simple five-finger position with thumbs sharing Middle C, while the teacher duet fills out the harmony underneath. The piece is marked slow march tempo and keeps the student part extremely clear, using long notes, simple quarter-note motion, and a steady 4/4 pulse.

Measures 1–4 present the opening wedding-march phrase. The student plays a simple right-hand melody with long notes and repeated stepwise motion, while the left hand adds a few basic supporting notes. The forte marking gives the opening a confident ceremonial sound, even though the student part uses very few notes.

Measures 5–8 continue the first page with the next part of the melody. The right hand moves through small steps and repeated notes, while the left hand provides simple bass support. The rhythm remains slow and uncluttered, making the famous theme easy for a primer-level student to follow.

Measures 9–16 complete the arrangement with a repeated-style continuation of the main melody. The same slow march character continues, with the student part using simple note values and mostly stepwise motion. The final measure settles on a long note, giving the short arrangement a clear ending while the teacher duet supplies the fuller wedding-march harmony.

Interesting fact: Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus” became one of the most famous wedding processionals in the world, often known by the words “Here Comes the Bride.” Even though it comes from the opera Lohengrin, many people recognize it more from weddings, films, television scenes, and cartoons than from the opera itself.
