Measures 13–16 return to the opening “rib-bit” idea. The same bouncy motive comes back, now leading into a stronger accented ending for the phrase.

Measures 17–20 repeat the “rib-bit” idea with a slight change in register and texture. The rhythm remains similar, but the sound becomes more active as the music prepares the final section.

Measures 21 to the end form the closing section. The music becomes slower and softer, then ends with a sudden forte “SPLASH!” on the lowest C of the piano.

Interesting fact: The score notes that frogs can jump 20 times their body length. If a person could jump like a frog, they could leap over 100 feet.
