“The Can-Can” is a Primer Level piano arrangement from Jacques Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld. It is written in 4/4 time and marked “Spirited, moving along.” The piece uses Middle C position, with both thumbs sharing Middle C. Interesting fact: The famous “Can-Can” tune is originally known as the “Galop infernal” from Offenbach’s opera Orpheus in the Underworld. It later became strongly associated with the high-energy can-can dance.
