1. Measures 1–16: A D-major melody built from slurred four-note figures alternates with longer notes and short rising replies. The left hand combines a sustained bass with moving eighth notes.
2. Measures 17–32: Detached phrases and chromatic rising figures widen the register. Staccato chord responses support a run of continuous sixteenths, followed by a slowing cadence.
3. Measures 33–48: The opening material returns a tempo. A softer G-major theme marked piano e dolce introduces dotted and flowing figures; its eight-bar section repeats.
4. Measures 49–64: Sequential and chromatic melodic figures move over a steady bass line. A longer descending run leads to a pause and the return of D major.
5. Measures 65–80: Opening-related material gives way to fuller repeated chords beneath running upper figures. A small-note lead-in and descending streams expand the closing passage.
6. Measures 81–86: Upper-register phrases and a falling run lead into a sparse low-register cadence, an emphatic final chord and the closing note.
