The Andante ma non troppo opening, mm. 1–16, places a sustained upper melody over gently repeated inner notes and a regular bass. Short decorative figures and trills brighten the phrase without interrupting its flowing accompaniment. Measures 17–32 introduce chromatic changes, stronger accents and rising melodic fragments; the rapid ascent in m. 30 settles into the brief ritardando of mm. 31–32. The opening returns at m. 33 and develops through renewed ornaments and changing harmony. Measures 51–64 broaden this continuation, with another rising flourish in m. 62 before a quieter response. The closing passage, mm. 65–75, gradually diminishes through the recurring inner-note texture, then separates into a low bass note and two final chordal gestures.
