-
Bekasova – Let It Be Spring is a modern original piano collection consisting of nine lyrical character pieces by contemporary composer Polly Bekasova. This album presents a reflective and emotionally expressive body of work written in a clear, tonal, and pianistic style.
The volume contains nine independent solo piano pieces, each with its own title, tempo marking, and musical character. The pieces are titled:
The Secret Boxing Box, The Capricious Waltz, Blues Relaxation, Just Music, Dance of the Moon, Violet Happiness, A Dream or a Dream?, The Song Without Words, and Forgotten Crossroad. The tempo markings across the collection include Andante and Allegretto, creating a cohesive stylistic atmosphere centered on calm motion, lyrical flow, and expressive simplicity. Together, the pieces form a unified contemporary suite grounded in melodic intimacy and transparent texture. The writing features lyrical right-hand melodies, broken-chord and accompaniment textures, clear tonal centers, and a modern yet accessible harmonic language.
Each piece also includes a QR code linking to an online reference performance, allowing musicians to hear tempo, balance, and character for confident practice and preparation.
Let It Be Spring belongs to the tradition of contemporary lyrical piano literature and modern character pieces. It is well suited for teaching studios, recital programming, and private study as a legitimate entry point into modern expressive piano repertoire.
This book is published by Road to Virtuosity (RTV) — an international music organization dedicated to structured repertoire, musical growth, and performance-ready resources.
