Bunny - Six Sonatinas Op. 10
Piano Repertoire
-
Bunny – Six Sonatinas, Op. 10 is a neo-classical original piano cycle consisting of six multi-movement sonatinas by contemporary composer Crimson Bunny. This collection presents a compact and stylistically unified interpretation of the classical sonatina form through a tonal, pianistic, and classically grounded musical language.
The volume contains six complete sonatinas, each structured in three movements (fast–slow–fast), for a total of 18 individual movements. The formal designs follow a traditional layout, with tempo markings that include Allegro, Andante, Andante con moto, Adagio ma non troppo, and Allegro moderato. Together, the movements form a coherent formal and stylistic framework across the entire collection.
Each movement is presented as a musically complete solo piano work suitable for both study and performance. The writing features clear tonal centers, lyrical melodic lines, broken-chord and scale-based accompaniment patterns, and transparent textures that reflect a neo-classical approach to classical sonatina form.
The musical language balances rhythmic drive and lyrical contrast, offering students structured exposure to classical phrasing, articulation, coordination, and formal clarity within a contemporary but stylistically traditional setting.
Each movement also includes a QR code linking to an online reference performance, allowing musicians to hear tempo, balance, articulation style, and character for confident practice and preparation.
This book is published by Road to Virtuosity (RTV) — an international music organization dedicated to structured repertoire, musical growth, and performance-ready resources.
