Measures 1-7 form an introduction of held lower notes, a bright upper run, and progressively softer descending replies ending at a fermata.
Measures 8-15 introduce a high, detached melody with descending sixteenth notes, dotted figures, and short chromatic turns above continuous broken eighth notes in the lower part. Measures 16-23 move to a dolce phrase in a new key, retaining the flowing accompaniment, before the opening theme returns in measures 24-31.
Measures 32-39 introduce wider upper leaps and accented notes in another key, with the same broken lower accompaniment. Measures 40-46 bring back the held notes and soft descending figures of the introduction.
Measures 47-54 return to the opening theme, followed by the dolce material in measures 55-62. Measures 63-70 restore the descending theme and end with a short upper cadence over the continuing lower eighth notes.
