Measures 32–56 move into a more continuous piano texture. Both hands become more active, with repeated broken patterns and moving inner lines underneath the melody. The left hand keeps a steady arpeggiated foundation while the right hand begins using fuller harmony and more rhythmic drive.

Measures 57–78 form the largest build of the arrangement. The key signature changes, and the writing becomes broader, with fuller right-hand chords above wide left-hand arpeggios. This section gives the arrangement its biggest, most dramatic sound before the final slowdown.

Measures 79–85 close the piece with a slower Adagio ending. The texture becomes simpler and more spacious again, with the melody returning over quiet left-hand support. The final measures hold back after the larger middle build and end with a calm, settled cadence.

Interesting fact: “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” became part of a major modern Christmas concert tradition through Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24,” which combines “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” with “Carol of the Bells.” That rock-orchestra version helped bring the carol into a much bigger arena-concert sound world.
