RTV uses this category for public domain sheet music. These files may include historical editions from outside sources as well as other public domain material. They are not necessarily engraved or edited by RTV.
An old composition and a modern edition are different things. Do not assume that every arrangement or edition of an old work has the same copyright status. Check the actual file and the rules that apply where you plan to use it.
Non-Commercial
Many RTV editions are prepared for personal, educational, and non-commercial performance use. They may be downloaded, printed, studied, and performed under the terms shown for that edition.
These files may not be sold, commercially redistributed, or included in a paid product without permission. Free access does not transfer ownership of the edition or grant every possible reuse right.
Copyrighted repertoire
RTV also includes copyrighted pieces for repertoire information, performance submissions, points, and progress tracking. The protected sheet music files are not offered for public download.
Prepare these works from a lawful source, such as an authorized publisher edition or a legally purchased score. An RTV repertoire listing is not a license to reproduce someone else’s edition.
