Measures 13-34 introduce softer slurred upper phrases, small descending figures and dotted chord replies over separate bass notes and chord responses. Fuller accented chords alternate with lighter single-note lines; later phrases extend into a high register and short repeated-note figures.

Measures 35-59 return to detached repeated notes, rising figures and the chordal march material, marked fieramente at measure 37. Measures 45-50 bring flowing octave lines in both parts. The closing passage alternates forceful chord attacks with octave runs, then settles into repeated high chords, marked con fuoco at measure 53, and a descending lower-octave line before the final held octave.
